After a thorough eye examination, we will discuss the range of options for addressing your eye care needs. Included in these options are eyeglasses. Our doctors are experts in all types of spectacle lenses, which include digital progressive multifocal lenses and digital deskwork/computer lenses, as well as contact lens options, which include rigid, hybrid, and multifocal lenses.

Our optical offers a large selection of eyeglasses, designer frames, and sunglasses. We carry the latest European and American designer eyewear collections in a variety of styles, colors, and materials including titanium, stainless steel, and plastic.

New clients and all our current patients are welcome to visit our optical with their current prescription – no appointment necessary.

What makes a designer frame more elegant than a typical frame?

Designer frames are made from higher quality materials and created with greater attention to detail.  This allows for more unique eyewear that feels great and is created to last.

What designer frames are for women? What style do they give off? What type of women wears them?

There are a variety of designer frames for women. Some frame lines use bold colors and shapes, while others use a more subtle and elegant detail.

Are they for sports or business/classy style? There are options for both business and sports.

Nike is a great frame line for children. They have several styles and are designed to withstand some wear and tear.

Ideally, sunglasses are larger than your everyday pair. Excellent fit and coverage combined with a polarized lens make a wonderful pair of sunglasses. 

Do vision insurances cover designer frames? Is it worth spending more for it?

All insurance plans vary in coverage. However, by investing in a high-quality pair of sunglasses, you can feel confident that you are getting the protection and quality you deserve. 

What are the benefits of going to an Optical vs buying online?

When ordering glasses from an experienced optician, you will get frame and lens recommendations specifically for you.  An optician will make frame and lens suggestions based on your prescription and lifestyle needs, take accurate measurements, as well as ensuring the glasses were made properly prior to dispensing.  

Can you put new Lenses into Frames I already own?

Generally it is not a problem to reuse a frame. In some cases, if a frame is too old or brittle, we may recommend against it.

How can I know if glasses look good on me? Is there a trade secret thatOpticians have?

That's what we're here for!  We not only pay attention to style but also proper fit to guarantee you love what you've selected.

How long does it typically take to get my glasses?

We generally quote two full weeks.

Do you have glasses that are also sunglasses, I think they are called Transition Lenses?

We do offer Transition lenses. There are a few Transition lens options that are an excellent back up to your prescription sunglasses.

Do you have same day glasses service?

We don't offer same day glasses service. We offer high-quality lens options and treatments that take time to make for each order.

Do you repair glasses?

We are happy to do repairs on glasses purchased from us. No appointment needed.

What is the warranty on the glasses that I buy at your optical?

All of our frames come with a one-year manufacturer warranty that covers frame defects.  Lenses ordered with a scratch or anti-reflective treatment also include a one-time replacement within the year for scratches.

Many normal glasses feel tight on my head, do you also carry glasses that are good for big heads?

We carry frames in a variety of sizes and styles.

What is the best way to clean my glasses?

We provide a cleaning cloth and lens solution to keep your lenses clean. We recommend avoiding tissues, paper towels, and t-shirts as they will scratch your lenses over time.

Can the lens of the glasses break? Should I buy special glasses for my child to prevent eye injuries?

We recommend polycarbonate lenses for all children's eyewear as it is impact resistant. 

How often should I get a new pair of glasses?

We recommend an annual eye exam to evaluate overall eye health and prescription changes.  It's always a good idea to have a current back up pair of glasses in the event something happens to your primary pair.  

What is anti-reflective coating?

Anti-reflective treatments assist with glare reduction, vision clarity, as well as scratch protection.  

What kind of eyeglass lens do you use? Are there differences between brands?

We use a variety of products which allows us to create a pair of glasses for your specific needs.  

What is the difference between an Optician and an Optometrist?

An optometrist is a doctor who assesses your overall eye health and determines your glasses prescription. An optician assists with frame and lens selection according to your prescription needs.

Is the shape of my face important for choosing glasses?

An optician will make frame suggestions based on face shape, prescription needs, as well as personal style.

What are polarized lenses?

Polarized lenses reduce glare on surfaces such as water, roadways, and snow. By reducing glare, eye comfort and vision clarity are improved.
